Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance
This site contains the Michigan Trail Finder, a map of all the principle trails in the state. The Trail Finder is currently under development with more trails and details to be added as time goes on. It is an excellent resource with which to find trails and see their relationship to each other and grew out of the collaborative project between the Trails and Greenway Alliance and the State of Michigan called "Connecting Michigan."
Rail to Trails Conservancy
This is the site of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the national organization that has pioneered the conversion of old railroad lines to non-motorized, recreational trails. To get directly to their nationwide trail finder go to www.trailfinder.com.
