19 Sep Boyne City-Charlevoix Trail Suffers Setback

The 2024 construction of Phase 3 of the Boyne City-Charlevoix Trail inspired a new wave of community excitement, including the Charlevoix County Board of Commissioners committing funding for engineering services to complete the trail. Unfortunately, the Board is now apparently reconsidering its support.

At a recent meeting, the board unexpectedly reversed its support and voted 3-2 against finalizing a contract for engineering work related to finishing the trail.

Trail supporters in Charlevoix County – especially Boyne Valley, Chandler, Hudson, or Wilson Townships – we could use your help!
