TOMTC Directors Attending Lilly Philanthropy School

Trails Council Executive Director Brent Bolin and Associate Director Becca Nelson were invited to participate in the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy‘s Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) program.

This opportunity is underwritten by the Herrick Foundation in partnership with Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation and Charlevoix County Community Foundation.

According to the Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation more than 30 nonprofit professionals from Northern Michigan – and a few from beyond – are gaining the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to strengthen their organizations and, in turn, the community. These local leaders are learning from nationally recognized experts from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, building fundraising skills that will fuel impact in Emmet County for years to come.

“We are so thankful to our foundation partners for bringing this program to our community and enabling so many local non-profit leaders to participate,” said Trails Council Executive Director Brent Bolin. “They should be applauded for their vision of stronger non-profit organizations making larger impacts in the community, and I know the Trails Council already has so many new ideas from just the first class.”

The IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is globally recognized as the first school dedicated to philanthropy.
