12 Aug Ponshewaing Flag Stop Unveiled on NWST
The Ponshewaing Flag Stop project on the North Western State Trail at Milton Road was officially unveiled this afternoon. About 60 people showed up for a brief ceremony and sign hanging, which formally opened the attraction. Volunteers, including leader Randall Crow, as well as other interested individuals and families – many of whom contributed monetarily or in some other way, were on hand. Refreshments were served after Randall gave his remarks, thanking everyone involved.

This is truly a great addition to the North Western State Trail. A trail side attraction such as this, with its shady rest area and interpretative signage, really enriches the experience for trail users and contributes to a genuine sense of place for Ponshewaing.
Hats off to Crow and his entire crew of dedicated and quality-minded volunteers and contributors. This is a big win for our trails and a proud moment for the Ponshewaing community.
