11 May Volunteer Tree Planting at Spring Lake Park May 18

ReLeaf Michigan, a non-profit tree organization, is partnering with Bear Creek Township and the DTE Energy Foundation to plant 20 trees at Spring Lake Park on Saturday, May 16, 8:45 a.m.-12 p.m.

The trees are part of a park renovation project and will provide a buffer between the park and the road and help with water filtration. ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts will be there to show volunteers how to plant a tree and oversee the event.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, hard rake, and gloves if you have them. Event occurs rain or shine. No planting experience necessary. Families are welcome!
