16 Jun 3rd Annual Lynn Duse Memorial Kids’ Bike Fest
Over 30 area children participated in Saturday’s third annual Lynn Duse Memorial Kids’ Bike Fest at the Little Traverse History Museum in Petoskey’s Bayfront Park on Saturday, June 7.
Kids decorated their bikes at a free decorating station sponsored by Crooked Tree Arts Center and later enjoyed prizes courtesy of Latitude 45 Bicycles and Fitness.
Petoskey District Library hosted a booth, and the Museum held a scavenger hunt. Trails Council Safety & Maintenance Director Bill Prall gave free bike tune-ups, and Grain Train Natural Foods Markets kicked in with healthy snacks for the kids.
We’re always amazed by the kids’ creativity when it comes to bike decorating. It’s fun to see them ride their decorated bikes on the Little Traverse Wheelway.
Lots of volunteers chipped in to make this a fun, safe, and exciting event for local kids. We appreciate and celebrate everyone who works hard to make this a great morning!
