06 Aug North Eastern State Trail: Onaway Trailhead Almost Ready

Workers are putting the finishing touches on the new trailhead on the North Eastern State Trail at Onaway. An engineering report from July 22 reveals a structure in the finishing stages of completion.

At that time, workers were installing stone veneer and applying block filler to interior walls. The tongue-and-groove ceiling in the open part of the pavilion was about 25 percent done then.

Paving is entirely complete, but an error in the parking marking has to be repaired. Landscaping and final electrical work are ongoing. We’ll let you know when the ribbon cutting is scheduled.
