Join us on Monday, Aug. 24, from 4-6 p.m. for the Eastport Property Visioning Open House. The event will take place at the northwest corner of the U.S. 31 and M-88 intersection (12190 Barnes Park Rd., Central Lake 49622). This interactive, station-based event offers a great opportunity for you to provide input.

The Eastport Property is located along the approved alignment of the Nakwema Trailway, adjacent to Antrim County’s Barnes Park and within walking distance of the Lake Michigan shoreline. This visioning process is foundational for determining the trail’s long-term community value and regional success. It’s not just about creating a trailhead; it’s about shaping a community destination.

Our goal is to develop the property into a community asset that welcomes trail users and serves the Torch Lake Township community. It will also support the long-term operations of the Nakwema Trailway.
