20 Sep Pedaling with a Purpose Squeezes in Two More Rides
Cindy Okerlund’s volunteer-driven Kids Pedaling with a Purpose program runs like a well-oiled machine. But weather sometimes derails all best efforts. Such was the case last spring when rain forced the cancellation of two rides for then-fourth graders at Lincoln Elementary School.
Nevertheless, Okerlund worked with the school and her generous volunteers to offer the rides this week – and it worked like a charm! The students are now fifth graders, but they still enjoyed the rides!
