31 Aug Volunteers are Key to Clean, Safe Trails

This past Thursday, August 27th, six Volunteers and Maintenance Director Bill Prall met at the intersection of Nine Mile Point and US 31 to work on the Little Traverse Wheelway Charlevoix trail section.

They worked on trimming back the intruding trail side vegetation was done between Nine Mile Pt. and the boat launch road. The trail is now rideable allowing riders coming from either direction safe passage.

Hagen Manker and Bill Prall also worked with the roofing torch, snow scraper and tamping tool to flatten the severe tree root bumps in that section. A lot was accomplished in the three plus hours of trail work.
