About the Trail

Built on the world’s largest sawdust pile

Located in Cheboygan’s Major City Park behind the Cheboygan Recreation Center is a family-friendly pathway — the Cheboygan Children’s Trail. Parking is available by the fishing piers at 400 Cleveland Avenue.

This family-friendly trail is built on the former site of what was once reputed to be the “world’s largest sawdust pile” and includes interactive installments, such as art pieces, a storywalk, a free library, a checkerboard table, benches, hidden driftwood birds, a bee and butterfly habitat, and more!

Free family events are held several times each year on the trail. Follow the Children’s Trail on Facebook.
